Now more than ever, there is the need to prepare ourselves. I don't want to give the impression that I feel prepared. I don't know if I am physically or spiritually, but I am working on it. I have felt this way for a while, but since Obama has been elected, the feeling to me has become urgent.
I was looking on the internet for pictures of the 10 Virgins, and came across some quotes from our prophets that are just, well...prophetic. They were spoken years and years ago, but seem to be so very appropriate for us and the state of our country today. I have been listening and reading trying to educate myself so that I'm not one of those people who blindly walk down the path that the prophets warn about. I want to fight to hold onto our freedom. I think it is our responsibility to raise our voices in defence of our liberty, to take action...whatever we can do, to slow the progress of those who would take our rights away from us. One of the biggest threats right now in my opinion is our people's ignorance to what's truly happening.

"The practice of coveting and receiving unearned benefits has now become so fixed in our society that even men of great wealth, and possessing the means to produce more wealth, are expecting the government to guarantee them a profit. Elections often turn on what the candidates promise to do for voters from government funds. This practice, if universally accepted and implemented in any society, will make slaves of its citizens."
**I also wanted to include this letter written by the First Presidency in response to the New Deal I know it's long, but worth the read. I had never seen this before!
