The kids had Spring Break last week. The last day of school before the vacation
Emma won a coloring contest for the 5th grade. They gave her a big Easter basket full of goodies.
This is the winning entry :))
Poor Emma also got poison ivy over Spring Break.
The city cut down all trees in town that were close to the power lines and our
Walnut tree out back was one of those unfortunate trees. All of the kids rushed outside to play with the wood, building forts, making tables and chairs, and just stacking it. It was fun.
The next day Emma told me her ear hurt and itched. I thought it was nothing until she woke up a couple of days later with her ear twice the size it should be (her right ear) and bumps around her eyes, nose and on her lips. It was pretty pitiful. :( I felt sad for her, but after a shot and some antibiotics, it cleared right up.
This is before Emma's New Beginnings program. I can't believe
She turns 12 this Fall!! Time has really flown!
(She really liked the way her hair looked that night)
These women are Emma's wonderful Young Women Leaders.
They presented her with her Personal Progress notebook with one of her
favorite things in the world on front. :)
Emma and Alina Beamer are the only 2 girls advancing this January. Alina is the girl in brown beside her.
